To reverse the focal point I just focused on different spots, pressed the shutter button half way and then moved the camera to get the same composition.

I really like this assignment and how pictures can really change by choosing a new focal point. I really liked the hole in the wall photograph because of the web in both pictures. Also nice composition.
The machine parts in the background looks like an awesome maze. The other one though it great. It was a great idea for the picture to be through the wall. I really like it.
